This is a reply to Eveline's question.
why are we called tubbies instead of tubbys?
Because "tubbys" would be grammatically incorrect.
You see, when the word you are about to make a plural ends with a "y", one cannot just put a "s" behind it so blatantly.
Instead, the letters "ies" should replace the potential "ys".
For the sake of example.
Library-LibrariesLily-LiliesCountry-CountriesYou see people, "ys" should not be used to make a noun plural unless is possible exceptions(?)
For the love of grammar and good of mankind.
Much love.
